Cobblestone

Definition – A small, round stone larger than a pebble and smaller than a boulder. Cobblestones were used to pave streets before concrete and asphalt were invented. Today, Cobblestone is used on driveways, edging and apron at the end of the driveway.

Asphalt

A driveway paved with asphalt can last up to 40 years. Asphalt is known for being durable, and low-maintenance. Proper asphalt installation requires heavy equipment. It is recommended to apply a driveway sealant after asphalt has been installed.

Stone

Stone driveways are the least expensive to create but they require the most maintenance compared to asphalt or pavers. New stones should be added every two or three years. There are many different types of stone to choose from for your driveway.
